Activiteiten Landhuis Bloemhof
Dear Friends,
This coming Saturday, August 25th, 2007, I will
give a guided tour of the exhibition
"Collecting A to Z" at 10:30 am.
The exhibition is about the art of collecting and
the collecting of art. It features artwork by local and
international artists arranged in alphabetical form.
The tour will highlight each art work on display, tell how it came to be
part of the collection and why it was chosen to be part of the exhibition.
The tour will be primarily in English, although on request Papiamentu and
Dutch can also be spoken.
If you cannot make it this week, we will repeat the tours on the 8th and
15th of September.

Wil je een kunstopleiding gaan volgen? Ben je tussen de 16 en 22 jaar? Zit je in de laatste jaren van de middelbare school?
Dan is ATELIER 2000 misschien iets voor
jou!
Atelier 2000 is een één-jarige cursus bij Landhuis Bloemhof. Iedere dinsdagmiddag wordt, onder de enthousiaste leiding van Babette de Waele en Fonz Heijdens, les gegeven van 17.00 – 20.00 uur. Vakken die aan de orde komen zijn: Tekenen, Schilderen, Reliëf, 3-dimensionaal (sculptuur), Ontwerpen I en Ontwerpen II. Daarnaast wordt begeleiding geboden bij het opzetten van een portfolio.
De kosten bedragen Naf. 85,00 per maand*. De eerste (kennismakings)les vindt plaats op dinsdag 4 september 2007.
Landhuis Bloemhof heeft o.a. overleg gehad met de Willem de Kooning Akademie in Rotterdam en the California College of the Arts
(San Francisco & Oakland (USA). Beide instituten zijn bereid Landhuis Bloemhof bij te staan met adviezen.

Na de zomervakantie starten we weer met nieuwe jaarcursussen en workshops!
We beginnen het nieuwe cursusjaar met de volgende jaarcursussen:
Atelierklas voor volwassenen o.l.v. Jon Sund
(workshopruimte boven)
Maandagavond van 19.00 – 22.00 uur
3 september 2007 – eind juni 2008
Het verschil met de reguliere lessen ligt erin dat de nadruk bij de atelierklas ligt op de zelfwerkzaamheid van de studenten.
De basis blijft tekenen en schilderen, maar andere technieken zijn eveneens mogelijk. De docent is aanwezig als begeleider.
Kosten: Naf. 150,00 er maand (excl. materiaal)
Atelier 2000 voor tieners van 16 – 22 jaar o.l.v. Babette de Waele en Fonz Heijdens

Dinsdag-namiddag van 17.00 – 20.00 uur
4 september 2007 – eind juni 2008
Deze artclass, onder de noemer Atelier 2000, is in de eerste plaats bedoeld voor leerlingen in de laatste jaren van het
Voortgezet onderwijs die daarna een kunstopleiding willen gaan volgen.
Vakken die aan de orde komen zijn: Tekenen, Schilderen, Reliëf, 3-dimensionaal (sculptuur), Ontwerpen I en Ontwerpen II.
Daarnaast wordt begeleiding geboden bij het opzetten van een portfolio.
Van de studenten wordt verwacht dat zij gedurende het jaar een logboek bij houden.
Er wordt wekelijks 3 uur les gegeven in de workshopruimte van Landhuis Bloemhof.

After the summer break, we start with new workshops and full year courses.
We start with the following full year courses:
Studio course for adults guided by Jon Sund
(Monday evenings from 7 – 10 pm)
September 3rd 2007 to the end of June 2008
The difference with the regular classes is that the studio class emphasizes the independent
work of the student. The emphasis will continue to be drawing and painting, yet other techniques
are also possible. The instructor is present to guide the students.
Cost: Nafl. 150,00 monthly (excl. material)
Atelier 2000 for teenagers (16 – 22 years old)
guided by Babette de Waele and Fonz Heijdens
(Tuesday afternoons from 5 – 8 pm)
September 4th 2007 to the end of June 2008
NAfl. 85,00 p/m
This artclass is mainly for teenagers who want to go to an Artschool after their highschool education.
Subjects which will be dealt with are: drawing, painting, relief, sculpture, design I and design II.
The teachers will help the students prepare their portfolios. The student is expected to record the
process he/she is going through in a journal.
